Description

M7, one of the most beautiful clusters of the Milky Way, is located about 800 light-years away in the constellation Scorpion.  It has an estimated age of 220 million years, its apparent magnitude is 3.3, and there are about 100 stars that make up this gem encrusted in the tail of the scorpion.
